A couple of nights ago, my husband (!!! – I know!!!) and I bought a bottle of Barefoot Bubbly‘s Moscato Spumante Champagne at a local “bevvy,” as my college friends and I used to say. Today, I officially changed my last name to match his, so bubbly is in order. It’s delicious, with notes of not-too-sweet stonefruit and a crisp, light finish. I’m almost craving a little tapa to round everything out, but let’s face it, I’d have to make that. =)
Here’s the bottle of bubbly, along with a few empties from our wedding-week leftovers – the first is a delicious tempranillo (which is, quite possibly, my favorite varietal – I just love those hints of cherry and forest fruits) from La Mancha by Senda 66, and the second is a crisp apple-y Naked Chardonnay by Four Vines. Both were delectable.
Ok, time to toast… Chin chin! Salud! Here’s to our marriage!
