In April, I travelled to NYC with my dad. Of course, we scoped out restaurant options before we even decided which city to visit. On our first night in the NYC area (we stayed in Yonkers), we went to Cafe Gitane – a super-bohemian restaurant that was absolutely PACKED with tiny tables and chatty people. The music was loud, and the food was delicious! Both my dad and I got the couscous with merguez.
The only way I can describe my couscous is to say that is was unlike any single dish I have had in my life, and that it inspired me to be more global in my cooking. Pretty high standards for that next restaurant to stack up to, right? =)
